About this experience

The David Scott Trail is a path laid in the 1800s to link the Khasi Hills with Sylhet, named after the British agent who built it. Today it is the best-known day trek near Shillong: about 14–16 km from Mawphlang down to Lad Mawphlang, past stone bridges, streams, pools and Khasi villages, mostly downhill on a well-made path.

We drive you from Shillong to the trailhead at Mawphlang, walk it with a local guide, and have the car waiting where the trail meets the road. One price covers the car for up to 4 people, so it suits a couple, a family or a group of friends.
