About this experience
Cherrapunji’s limestone hills are full of caves, and three are easy to visit in a day. Garden of Caves at Laitmawsiang is a community park of caves, streams and a waterfall falling through the rock. Mawsmai is a short, lit cave of stalactites and squeezes. Arwah has fossils set in its walls and a forest path to the entrance.
We pick you up in Shillong, drive the Sohra plateau with stops at Nohkalikai and the Seven Sisters viewpoint, and bring you back in the evening. One price covers the car and driver for up to 4 people; entry fees are paid at each gate.

Wet and narrow inside
Wear shoes with grip and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy. Mawsmai has tight squeezes.

Mawsmai is lit; the others are partly dark.
Closures
Mawsmai is reported closed on some Sundays, and caves can shut after very heavy rain. We’ll reorder the day if one is closed.
