Permits & paperwork
Every non-Arunachal Indian traveller needs an Inner Line Permit. We file it — allow 5 working days.
ILP — Indian nationals
We need name, age, address, ID number and a passport photo per traveller.
Filed 5 working days before entry; 7 in peak season.
Issued per entry point — tell us if the route changes after filing.
PAP — foreign nationals
Protected Area Permit, minimum group of two, 15–20 working days.
Passport, visa copy and itinerary must be locked before filing.
Some sectors including Bum La stay closed to foreign nationals.
On-route checks
Permits are checked at Bhalukpong, Dirang and Tawang.
Carry two printed copies plus the digital file.
Bum La and Madhuri Lake need a separate same-day permit we arrange in Tawang.
