No state permits in Assam. What matters is safari slot allocation, which is capped and sells out.

Jeep slots are range-wise and capped daily.

Park calendar
Kaziranga is closed roughly mid-May to mid-October.
Re-opening dates shift by a week or two each year with the flood situation.

Majuli crossing
Ferries run daylight hours only and stop in high water.
Vehicle crossing needs a separate ticket we buy at Neamati.
